Your data privacy with fPM
fPM is built to reduce distraction while preserving your privacy. We describe what data we collect, how it is used, and how we protect it. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use fPM.
1. Information We Collect
fPM collects only the information required to deliver its service. This includes account information, contact identifiers, linked platform metadata, schedule preferences, and blocked notification summaries.
We do not collect or store the body of your messages. We never read the content of your notifications. Our service is designed to operate using metadata only.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Apply contact-level blocking preferences safely and accurately.
- Provide digests and analytics about blocked interruptions.
- Support emergency bypass features and VIP safety rules.
- Improve the service through aggregated, anonymized usage insights.
3. No Message Content
fPM’s zero-knowledge design means we only use sender metadata, not message text. The app may detect sender names, platform names, and timestamps, but it does not store or analyze the actual message body.
4. Platform Integrations
When you connect a platform such as WhatsApp, Slack, or SMS, we may store the identifiers needed to match a contact across those services. We only request the minimum permissions required to operate the service.
If a connected platform changes its API, permissions, or terms, our ability to provide that integration may change.
5. Cookies & Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to support site functionality, remember preferences, and analyze traffic. We do not use tracking for targeted advertising.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share metadata with service providers who help us operate the service, such as hosting, analytics, or payment processors. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and only use it for the services we specify.
7. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard security measures, including encryption at rest, TLS in transit, and access controls. We also maintain policies to limit access to sensitive information.
While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access or disclosure.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time, and we will remove it in accordance with applicable law.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and provide notice through the app or email when appropriate.
10. Contact
If you have questions about this policy, contact us through the fPM website or our ByteFwd support channels. We will respond in a timely manner and help you understand how your data is handled.
